The FINANCIAL — Monheim, July 4, 2011 – Michael A. Schulz (46) was appointed as Member of the Board of Management of Bayer CropScience AG effective June 1, 2011 and as the company's Head of Business Planning & Administration effective July 1, 2011.
He succeeds Dr. Dirk Suwelack (61), who will enter retirement at the end of 2011.
Michael A. Schulz was born in Mannheim-Neckarau, Germany in 1965. He studied Economics and Business Administration at the University of Mannheim. From 1992 to 2000, Schulz worked with Gemini Consulting on a variety of assignments in the Consumer Goods and Health industries. In 2001, he joined Cap Gemini Ernst & Young in the United States, where he led the Life Sciences Strategy practice working for major industry clients. In 2006, Michael A. Schulz joined Bayer AG Corporate Development where he was responsible for Bayer HealthCare Strategy before being appointed Head of Business Planning & Administration in Bayer HealthCare’s Animal Health Division in late 2007.
