The FINANCIAL — Kazakhstan plans to found the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) until the end of 2015, declared Ermek Kosherbayev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on May 20, according to APK Inform.
Also, the new organization will become one of the significant elements forming the national food security, as well as the global level of food security, said E.Kosherbayev.
As a reminder, in 2014 Kazakhstan ratified the IOFS Statute. It is noted that establishment of the organization will allow developing the supply of Kazakh grains and other foodstuffs to the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, realizing large-scale investment and infrastructure projects, to increase the export volumes.
