The FINANCIAL — PASHA Bank – a reagional financial institution operating in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, has sponsored the most influential business awards ceremony in Georgia – Golden Brand Awards 2014. Being a financial institution providing corporate and investment services to large and middle-sized enterprises, PASHA Bank is contributing to the growth of the local economy through its core function as well as through its CSR activities.
“We have been operating in Georgia for two years and throughout this time we have supported a range of events that aim at the development of proficiency in the local business sector,” said Mr. Shahin Mammadov, CEO of PASHA Bank.
“We see the Golden Brand Awards as an important motivator for locally operating companies to perform even better during the year and win this annual award. I have to say that even being nominated by Golden Brand Awards is already an indicator of a brand’s success,” he added.
At the Golden Brand Awards Ceremony Mammadov addressed guests and once again underlined the Bank’s interest in contributing to local business development and growth. “We are glad to have the opportunity to be special sponsors of the event. We believe that this annual event gives all the winners and nominees additional motivation to develop their business and achieve more. And, as you might have already noticed, PASHA Bank gladly supports such initiatives,” said Mammadov.
At the ceremony, which was held on 24 April, Mammadov awarded a Golden Brand prize to the winning companies: Nikora, Lisi Development and Ipkli.
Looking back at the sponsorships of PASHA Bank during this short period of operation in Georgia, there have been several notable events, such as the Business Conference in Brussels.
PASHA Bank was a special partner of the Conference held on 27 April, 2015. The main topic of the discussion was Georgia’s new opportunities in free trade with the EU. 65 large, medium and small-sized Georgian and EU enterprises from different sectors had the opportunity to discuss the business and investment climate in Georgia.
“We were special partners of the conference and we gladly shared our successful experience as a big foreign investor in Georgia, emphasizing the positive business environment, which was one of the main reasons for PASHA Holding to make a direct investment of approximately USD 60 million two years back when PASHA Bank started operating in Georgia,” said Goga Japaridze, Commercial Director of PASHA Bank.
On 11-12 July, Tbilisi hosted seminars on A New Management Paradigm for a New Age of Managers and 4D Branding – Sur¬prise Branding. The events were sponsored by PASHA Bank and were held at the exhibition centre of Expo Georgia.
PASHA Bank also sponsored the second Business Development Forum on 14 July, 2014. The event hosted adviso¬ry companies, financial services sec¬tor representatives and international donor organizations. The Forum, which consisted of an exhibition and con¬ference, provided an excellent venue for B2B interaction. It was attended by over 250 participants from various business sectors and exhibited over 20 companies.
“We are dedicated to developing the full potential of the Georgian economy. One of the main objectives of PASHA Bank on the Georgian market is to provide financial support and a contribution to investments and trade activities of domestic players. Arranging such roundtables is helpful for the rep¬resentatives of the private sector as well as officials to share ideas and discuss issues that will bring the local economy to a better place,” said Mammadov.
PASHA Bank sponsored the annual Busi¬ness Brilliance Award Ceremony in Tbilisi, organized by London based Global Event and Training Group, BOC (Blue Ocean Consultancy) in October 2014. The conference featured presentations of world leading brands: Microsoft, Greenwich Village PR, Bupa, and UNICEF, which were featured during the conference.
This international conference was packed with insights from world-class speakers and some of the lead¬ing innovators, who put a fresh per¬spective on the current drivers of the dynamic business world.
The conference was followed by The Business Brilliance Award, which together with local leading media and press has celebrated some of the most in¬novative businesses, as well as per¬sonal achievements across various industries and sectors in Georgia.
“The Georgian economy continues to grow. We are observing steady in¬terest from international companies. The volume of foreign investments is also increasing. So the local business sector requires the expertise and in¬formation that the speakers and in¬vited guests of the ceremony can share with them” said Mam¬madov.
“PASHA Bank has joined the Georgian business community and we feel re¬sponsibility for supporting its further development,” Mammadov added.
In line with the contribution to the further development of the Georgian economy and enhancement of its in¬vestment climate, PASHA Bank was a Golden Sponsor of the Caspian Energy Forum 2014, held in Tbilisi. Representatives of key governmental and commercial structures participated in the Forum.
The Caspian Energy Forum included discussions on all aspects of the energy integration of countries of the Caspian, Black Sea and Medi¬terranean regions into global energy markets. The focus of speakers, del¬egates and forum participants was on the key role of Georgia in energy, transport and infrastructure projects, the growing upstream gas sector, the Southern Corridor projects and the resource potential of the Caspian Sea.
“Caspian Energy Forum 2014 became a platform to discuss different areas of the Georgian economy, and con¬tribute to the attraction of new invest¬ments and integration of the finan¬cial sector across the Caspian-Black Sea region countries. As you might already know, PASHA Bank is a Baku-based financial institution operating in Azerbaijan, Georgia and in Turkey. Therefore we were very interested in supporting this Forum and we clearly see its importance for regional economic growth,” said Mam¬madov.
PASHA Bank was named the Bank of the Year by Caspian Energy Group. At the ceremony President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili awarded a prize to the CEO of PASHA Bank Georgia, Shahin Mammadov.
“Hereby I would like to inform the readers of The FINANCIAL about our coming sponsorship – PASHA Bank is the Platinum Sponsor of Spotlight, the main marketing event of the year. We believe in the importance of sharing one another’s experiences when it comes to developing business skills and knowledge. In the scope of Spotlight PASHA Bank is initiating a very interesting and beneficial project for Georgian marketers, the presentation of which will be made at Spotlight.
