The FINANCIAL — Aston University has one of the best business schools in the UK, according to new rankings results.
The Eduniversal 2016 Business School Ranking Results placed Aston Business School 11th out of 154 business schools in the UK and 2nd in the Midlands.
The University was placed 4th for having the most ‘significant international excellence’ out of all business schools in Western Europe.
The rankings look at the top 1,000 business schools in the world based on accreditations, position in other major rankings, links internally and the opinion of other business school deans.
Professor George Feiger, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Executive Dean of Aston Business School, said: “Aston Business School aspires to be renowned for the quality of its teaching, the tangible impact of its research and its support for enterprises and the professions. We are delighted to see this being recognised in the highly coveted Eduniversal rankings.
“We have many different academic groups focusing on finance, marketing, economics and the other core business skills. What you find here is that they intersect in very practical ways to spark entrepreneurial and innovative ideas that flow into businesses of all types. We want to help everyone – students, researchers, and industry – to succeed.”
The 1,000 business schools in the Official Eduniversal Selection are selected by the International Scientific Committee, composed of nine independent academic experts recognised in their geographical zone, after careful evaluation. The objective is to establish a global mapping that considers the international influence and reputation of each selected institution.
