The FINANCIAL — Bayer Technology Services (BTS) is opening a Southeast Asia regional office in Singapore, thus further expanding its presence in the rapidly growing Asian markets.
This follows just a few months after the opening of the BTS regional office in Mumbai, India. Customers thus now benefit from a stronger Asian network that is managed from the BTS regional headquarters in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China. The new Southeast Asia office is headed by Dr. Olaf Stange, who has successfully directed the business of BTS subsidiary Ehrfeld Mikrotechnik BTS GmbH since 2004. He will be succeeded there by Dr. Joachim Heck.
“Serving our customers locally is part of the growth strategy of BTS. The presence of the regional office in Singapore now enables us to also offer tailored solutions for our customers in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries in Southeast Asia,” said Achim Noack, Managing Director of BTS. These services affect all phases of a capital investment project, state of the art technology solutions such as microreaction technology, and also optimization methods and tools for improving energy efficiency or the supply chain, for example. Noack added that additional branch offices are scheduled to open this year in Brazil and Russia.
Since becoming a legally independent company in October 2003, BTS has continued to support the Bayer subgroups with in development of production processes and the planning, construction and optimization of plants, and also markets these services to external customers worldwide. A particular competence lies in the combination of extensive knowledge of the Asian market and global expertise with decades of close ties to operators.
