The yearly Believe Foundation Charity Gala Dinner will once again put the focus on reducing poverty and inequalities, support for education and creating an inclusive environment for those less fortunate. The non-profit organization is looking for sponsors to join this year’s event to raise more funds to support the local communities.
With the continuous support of donors and devoted volunteers the Believe team raises funds to organize charitable and educational programs to improve the lives of beneficiaries throughout the year in western Georgia. In Georgia, every fifth child (21.7%) lives under the general poverty line as stated in UNICEF’s research on “The well-being of children and their families in Georgia” and Believe wants to contribute to change this.
Mr. Irakli Kvaratskhelia, Managing Director of Caucasus Metal Terminals commented: “We are proud to support Believe Foundation Charity Gala Dinner every year and we look forward to together raise funds and awareness to help those less fortunate. Believe Foundation makes a difference to the lives of many Georgian citizens especially children and we are honored to be able to help them further with their work through this event.”
Since 2014 Believe Foundation organizes its popular Charity Gala Dinner and so far the annual event has raised over GEL 400,000 which has been used towards the following programs: refurbishment of the day care center for children with special needs in Poti, renovation of the classrooms at schools to create an inclusive environment, educational programs for youth, advocacy trainings, sign language classes and constant support for the Deaf Union, food drives and housing campaign for socially vulnerable families in Georgia.
“The story of Believe Foundation proves once again that if there is a will to do good things, it will be done and there is no obstacle or excuse for not doing it” – said Mr. Lasha Akhaladze, Managing Partner at Caucasus Industrial Trading Partners LLC.
Among the loyal donors and permanent guests of the Charity Gala Dinner are private sector representatives such as global transportation companies, logistic and forwarding agencies, financial institutions, banks and insurance companies, legal service providers, investment associations, international hotels, healthcare centers, Georgian diaspora, the diplomatic corps, Chambers of Commerce, and philanthropic individuals.
Local and international artists participate in the event by donating their artworks for charity auction. “It’s been 5 years since I have partnered with the Believe Foundation and I am always glad to say yes to this partnership, as members of this organization are very open, transparent and motivated to do good,” said Mrs. Nino Chakvetadze, the well-known Georgian artist. “I would like to say thank you to the Believe team as with their help I can also contribute and do my tiny piece of kindness to help others” – she added.
The Believe Foundation Charity Gala Dinner will take place at 6:00 PM on December 7 at the Biltmore Tbilisi Hotel. The event will feature a spectacular musical performance by the famous Georgian musician and composer Dato Evgenidze with Band & Friends.
Guests will be invited to join for dinner, charity auction, raffle tickets, music & dancing. Together with the sponsors, Believe will participate on the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) locally – No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Quality Education, Reduced Inequalities.
The event is supported by UN Global Compact Network Georgia.
The General Media partner of the event is The FINANCIAL.
