The FINANCIAL — French grocery retailer Carrefour Group on July 16 reported second-quarter sales of 21.369 billion euros, up 4.2 percent from last year. Excluding petrol, sales growth was 5.5 percent, according to Nasdaq.
Currencies had a favorable impact of 0.6 percent. The calendar effect had an unfavorable impact of 0.3 percent, and petrol prices had an unfavorable impact of 1.2 percent.
Organic sales grew 2.6 percent, on an already strong comparable base in 2014.
Total sales under banners including petrol was 26.0 billion euros, up 5.7 percent at current exchange rates.
