Memorandum was signed between “Smart Capital Group” and „Polivim“

Taking care of the environment is an important value for “Smart Capital Group”. In the upcoming years, the company is actively planning to implement environmental initiatives and projects, aimed at mitigating environmental challenges.

The company considers that achieving results starts with taking small steps. That is why “Smart Capital Group” started taking care of the environment from the head office and planned to tackle one of the most urgent problems – waste management in collaboration with the processing enterprise -“Polivim”. Within the framework of the partnership, the plastic waste collected with the involvement of the group’s employees will be forwarded to the “Polivim” plant on a monthly basis and will be processed for further use.

The main purpose of “Polivim” is to reduce plastic waste, create a benefit product and contribute to the development of a circular economy in Georgia. 

“Our daily actions is one of the factors that can affect the environment. We try to introduce the idea of the importance of waste management culture to our team and guests and contribute to the creation of a healthy environment,” – was noted in the group.

“There is 180 million tons of plastic in the world, thrown into the natural environment or landfills, which is a sad result of our reality. To reduce this process, it is our civic duty to approach existing problem with more responsibly. As more private companies, civil society, state agencies, and ordinary citizens get involved in this process, we will be able to get better results with joint efforts.” – was noted at “Polivim”. 

Approximately 18,000 bottles are used in the offices of “Smart Capital Group” each year, which, within the framework of the partnership, will now acquire a new function and thus prevent the process of environmental pollution.

The partnership was launched within the framework of the international campaign “Plastic Free July”, in which the engaged companies try to contribute to the process of plastic reduction in a number of ways. 

Plastic recycling is one of the activities carried out within the Green Office.

By managing waste, saving energy and natural resources, it is possible to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases from the office, which will further halt the global warming process.
