The FINANCIAL — A new website has been launched to offer scholars a professional insight into the study of contemporary China.
According to LSE, The China in Comparative Perspective Network (CCPN), the only one of its kind in the world, is aimed at anyone interested in examining China's modern economic history, politics, international relations, society and culture.
The website makes it easier to access the CCPN network which brings together China-related resources for use within and outside LSE.
The network aims to support new research projects and encourage interdisciplinary approaches to the study of China.
CCPN begins publishing an annual e-journal in 2009. Academics will have the chance to submit articles and reviews, as a means of encouraging both comparative and interdisciplinary studies on China.
Dr Xiangqun Chang, coordinator of the CCPN, said: ‘The network has great potential. I feel it will become a useful tool in bringing together LSE’s considerable knowledge on China for the benefit of all scholars and students.’
The website, www.lse.ac.uk/ccpn ,also includes news, events and a network members’ sections. A CCPN forum will be set up soon.
