The FINANCIAL — ProCredit Bank and Ilia State University have launched their first joint project: setting up ProCredit Bank’s Multimedia Corner at the renovated library in University building E.
The library offers a wide selection of books in a comfortable setting and is open both to students and interested members of the public from 10:00 – 21:00 Monday to
Saturday. ProCredit Bank donated recent editions of philosophy, history, finance, art, economy and management books to the library. The corner is also equipped with technology allowing visitors to listen to audio and video lectures and prepare presentations.
The project aims to help young people, especially students and bank employees, to receive an education and have better job opportunities. In addition to other important activities, one of the top priorities for ProCredit Bank is the professional and personal development of its potential and existing employees. The Bank spends around GEL 3 million every year in training and developing its staff.
The well-known Georgian writer, Dato Turashvili, was invited to the event as a special guest. He gave a brief overview of some interesting books and answered questions from the audience. The presentation was attended by representatives from Ilia State University and ProCredit Bank.
“We are proud that ProCredit bank is the first bank to support such a project. Starting today, the multimedia corner is available to all readers interested in sustainable development,” said Sofia Kordzakhia, Director of ProCredit Bank.
