The FINANCIAL — PSP Training Centre, founded by the leading pharmaceutical company, plans to cooperate with Russian specialists. The centre is expecting Mr. Andrey Manukhi, a specialist in pharmaceutical methodology.
The training plan has already been worked out by the organizers and visitors. The course will continue from May 2008 till the end of the year. Most PSP staff (managers, regional managers and pharmacists) will be actively involved in different trainings. These trainings also contain the topic ‘How to improve selling abilities’.
PSP Training Centre has partners both in Georgia and abroad: IDT (International Development Training Centre, Russia), CTC (Georgia), IMP (Georgia), Serma (Georgia), ESM-Tbilisi (Georgia), Sinerji (Georgia).
According to Eka Pruidze, head of PSP Training Centre, it has been represented in the Georgian market since 2003.
“PSP Company is totally focused on high quality service. The quality management system which is implemented in PSP is completely suited to the needs of the customers. The training centre was created for the purpose of continually employing highly qualified staff. The centre was established in 2003, this period coincided with the enlargement of the PSP drug store net,” Pruidze declared to The FINANCIAL.
The company PSP has been working on the Georgian pharmaceutical market since May 3, 1995. First the distributional company PSP implementing centre was established, which became the first official distributor of European medicaments in Georgia. In 1999 the first Georgian pharmaceutical enterprise GMP was established by PSP, which is oriented on international pharmaceutical standards. PSP was created on Georgian capital and its founders are the Georgian doctors – Kakha Okriashvili and Gocha Gogilashvili.
PSP Group is extending its net of drugstores permanently, providing customers with 24 hour assistance of medicaments, hygiene and cosmetic means. PSP operates 70 drugstores in Tbilisi. In total the company has more than 110 drugstores in the whole country.
“Today 1,500 people work for the company, 1,000 of them are pharmacists. Currently, PSP has 110 drugstores throughout Georgia. First of all our training centre cares about the improvement of pharmaceutical directions. PSP pharmacists must be able to satisfy all required standards, they must possess detailed information about each medicine represented in the drugstore,” Pruidze said.
High quality service in PSP drug stores is guaranteed by quality management, well-skilled staff and strictly monitored processes. PSP constantly cares about increasing its highly skilled recruits and maintaining the training centre.
“The aim of this training centre is to strengthen the image of the company among customers by giving high qualified consultations with pharmacists trained in the PSP training centre. The staffs’ proficiency is provided by modern methods and programs. The development of the recruiters are checked and monitored annually by special tests,” Pruidze said.
“The trainings are approbated for pharmacists, doctor – operators, consultants in the cosmetic and hygiene fields, drugstores’ chief pharmacists and managers. The studying programs are different and absolutely suited to the different staff positions’ levels of knowledge,” Pruidze added.
The training centre’s program includes: three month pharmaceutical studies for beginners, a studying course for experienced staff, marketing and merchandising in the drugstores, PSP computer program skills, trainings for consultants in the hygiene and cosmetic fields, drugstore accounting and studying in quality management. Teaching methods accepted in the centre are well approved in the world: lectures, practice, seminars, interactive trainings, consultation. After taking this training course the participants are awarded with a special certificate.
PSP Training Centre cooperates with pharmaceutical faculties of different universities. PSP has already signed a memorandum with Tbilisi State Medical University. Honour students have the chance to continue trainings in PSP Training Centre without additional exams and get working experience in PSP drugstores after their classes. PSP Training Centre plans to increase its number of partner universities and plans to sign a contract with Tbilisi State Technical University, Tsereteli University and Medical Institute in Kutaisi.
“These trainings are absolutely free of charge. PSP invests in improving its management. PSP pharmacists must be attentive and answer all kinds of questions put to them by customers. Good management and staff determine the company’s popularity in the market. Besides qualified advice customers are eager to receive a warm attitude and smiley faces from the personnel. These abilities are improved with the help of this training centre,” Pruidze declared.
