The FINANCIAL — Jason Miladze, a SWAT team member accused in connection with the so-called tennis court special operation, testified against SWAT high officials and said Kakha Nakani and Irakli Pirtskhalava were forcing him to give false testimony.
According to Miladze, the 2006 May 2 special operation was planned on May 1 and the order to open fire was issued by Irakli Pirtskhalava, while in 2012 Kakha Nakani and Irakli Pirtskhalava threatened him with jail time if he failed to give testimony they deemed appropriate. In particular, Miladze was pressured to say that Pirtskhalava had not given the order to open fire.
In addition, Miladze said he had not heard any sounds of gunfire from Vazagashvili’s car during the special operation, according to InterPressNews.
Jason Miladze, together with other SWAT team members, is accused of premeditated murder.
