Having venturing into the MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) sector, Georgia’s number one HVAC brand (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) Terma is now working to introduce new service standards that ‘we will keep secret, a surprise, at this stage’, says Director of Terma Irakli Kukuladze.
“Terma has been operating in the HVAC field for 23 years already. Our main privilege is to be the representative of the world-famous brands of Mitsubishi Electric, Gree, Wolf, Systemair in Georgia. Our relatively new partner is Wolf, which is a leading brand in Europe in the heating segment. This German brand is oriented on introducing the energy efficient solutions and produce premium quality products”, Kukuladze said.
He added that all partner brands of Terma hold leading positions in the industry, ‘which means that their technologies are developing year-on-year, and especially now when the development of HVAC technologies has become virtually vital around the world, we will be one of the firsts to introduce technologies related to the new reality on the Georgian market’.
Kukuladze said that Terma is working on distinguished and successful projects.
“We are not going to stop, on the contrary – we plan to introduce new standards for service. We will announce more about our plans in the near future”, he said.
Kukuladze said that the Covid-19 pandemic has affected the activities of Terma, but ‘we understand that any large-scale crisis brings not only difficulties, but new opportunities as well. Our goal is to meet the new reality with a renewed appearance, new technologies and an experienced team’.
Currently, Terma is working on the following projects: Archi Dighomi (residential building), Vakhushti Plaza (business center) and IBIS Budget hotel on Akhvlediani Street.
Kukuladze said that demand has increased significantly once Terma moved from the HVAC to the MEP sector and now the market share of the company is growing.
Last year sales in the individual segment increased by about 15-20 per cent while in the corporate segment they increased by 25 per cent.
“There is an equal demand for any of our products. The interesting dynamics is that in the last two or three years there has been almost no increase or decrease in seasonal demand due to a number of local as well as global factors”, he said.
As one of the most successful companies in the Georgian market, Terma has been named the number one brand in Georgia in the field of heating, ventilation and air conditioning for the third time in a row by the Golden Brand awards.
“We are happy to be the winner of the Golden Brand award for the third time in a row and first of all, I would like to say thank you. I think the years of experience and successful achievements have distinguished us. We are proud to receive the Golden Brand every year”, Kukuladze said.
Speaking about the reasons behind the Golden Brand win, Kukuladze said that “we are constantly studying the global trends of the sector, attending exhibitions, training in Europe and not only there. Every year we bring innovations to our company. Moreover, our partner international brands often visit us and hold conferences and training for technical staff and engineers”.
Terma has received the Golden Brand for its successful activities of 2019. Kukuladze says that 2019 was a challenging year, however the company managed to successfully overcome all challenges and end the year impressively.
“In 2019 the main challenge was the transformation of the company, transitioning from the HVAC to the MEP sector. It is the most important concept in our industry and means that we are perfectly ready for large projects and are not limited to only heating, ventilation, and conditioning. Providing water supply, fire safety and any other service defined by the project is now a standard opportunity for Terma”, said Kukuladze.
He said that Terma successfully implemented ‘several large projects’ last year and the company officials are satisfied with the results.
“We have the oldest and busiest history in our sector, but we continue to study and develop to this day”, he said.
Terma started operations on the Georgian market in 1997 as a limited liability company, while in 2007 it was transformed into a joint stock company. During this period Terma served hundreds of large projects and thousands of individual customers.
