The FINANCIAL — On 7 July 2015, Georgian Foreign Minister Tamar Beruchashvili met Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Georgia Choi Suk-inn (with residence in Baku), who paid a visit to Georgia, according to MFA Georgia.
The Minister and the Ambassador focused on a wide range of issues including bilateral and multilateral relations between Georgia and Korea and prospects of future co-operation, underlined the need to hold regular political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of two countries and to exchange high-level visits. The sides expressed their readiness to promote close co-operation in the spheres of trade and economy, energy, tourism, education and culture.
Tamar Beruchashvili welcomed Korea’s decision to open the diplomatic mission in Tbilisi this year, which will be yet another step towards the development of close partner and friendly relations between Georgia and the Republic of Korea.
The Ambassador expressed his concern over the people that have been affected by the flood hitting Tbilisi in June and noted that the Government of Korea is discussing issue of rendering relevant assistance to support those affected by the flood.
