The FINANCIAL — Vienna’s two major football clubs “FK Austria Vienna” and “SK Rapid” are demonstrating with the luxury buses from the Setra ComfortClass 500 that they are first class when transporting their teams, too. The owner of the S 517 HD luxury liners is the Viennese bus operator Blaguss, which is placing the sumptuous vehicles at the disposal of the two first-division clubs for the duration of the season, according to Daimler AG.

“During league time the team buses painted in the club colours will be in operation around 40 times for the professional footballers in the first teams for home and away games”, Mag explained. But it is not just the first-division players who are enjoying the comfortably equipped buses, according to the managing partner: “The second team and the amateur players of both clubs benefit from the exclusive ambience of the Setra ComfortClass 500 on their journeys to youth tournaments or training camps. The vehicles have the optimum prerequisites to help the players concentrate and relax.”
Three-axle models with galleys, satellite reception and thigh supports
The players and staff of 24-times champion FK Austria Vienna can stretch out on 32 “Setra Voyage Supreme” passenger seats, some of which are equipped with electronically adjustable table thigh supports. In addition to this the violet touring coach fitted with a galley, microwave and coffee machine also has a satellite TV system with Sky reception and a video/audio system for versatile entertainment options with the highest image and sound quality. This also applies to the green/white-design three-axle model which is being used for the teams of the record-breaking champion SK Rapid. In the rear of the vehicle fitted with 40 Setra Voyage Supreme seats three club tables serve as meeting points for relaxed conversations. Anyone preferring to relax whilst listening to music or watching films can do so with an iPod or iPhone, which can be charged at all times and in every seat row. Both buses have on board the most up-to-date driver assistance systems currently available in the sector. These include a Lane Assistant and adaptive cruise control with emergency braking assistance (BAS PLUS), which also reacts to stationary obstacles and considerably reduces accident hazards, according to Daimler AG.

The Blaguss group of companies is Austria’s leading private transport and travel company and for 20 years it has also been serving renowned sports clubs. With one of the youngest fleets in Europe – the buses have an average age of 2.2 years – Blaguss pays a great deal of attention to constantly falling fuel consumption and rising environmental quality on the road. In addition this major concern maintains its buses more frequently than stipulated by legislation. The Blaguss group employs over 550 people at its premises in Austria, Slovakia and Hungary, according to Daimler AG.
