The FINANCIAL — Ninety-six percent of companies whose revenues exceed US $500 million are in some phase of a business transformation, according to the 2016 KPMG Global Transformation Study.
In these companies, 47 percent of executives are concerned about their ability to effectively plan or implement change, the study also reveals. KPMG Powered Enterprise provides companies like these with a complete solution that helps them achieve a faster, more seamless and successful back office transformation.
“Companies today face a host of business disruptions related to rapid growth, constant technology updates, cost pressures and regulatory changes,” said Don Mailliard, Corporate Services and Financial Management lead at KPMG in the US. “Industry leaders can meet these challenges head-on by changing the way they manage key functions such as accounting and finance, HR, procurement and enterprise performance management.”
Organizations pursuing cloud computing to revolutionize back office functions are discovering that change entails much more than simply plugging into the cloud. The 2016 KPMG HR Transformation Survey shows that firms struggling to generate effective change appear too focused on investing only in HR technology. Meanwhile, companies dedicating the time and resources to planning and deploying strategic change programs say they are deriving success and satisfaction.
“With KPMG Powered Enterprise, companies can realize the answers they want to achieve in less time than they can with traditional cloud implementation programs. Our approach leverages decades of KPMG business and technology experience to help companies achieve a true step change in value,” added Mailliard.
The KPMG Powered Enterprise pre-defined operating models, implementation tools and configured cloud technologies were built based on the 80/20 rule to give clients a rapid start, thanks to strategic support tools such as:
A pre-defined cloud-based solution
Organizational designs and role definitions
Test scenarios and scripts
Process libraries
Control, measurement, data and reporting models
Project delivery tools
“With Powered Enterprise, you’re not simply replacing your company’s technology. On the contrary, you’re truly transforming the underlying functions to achieve increased operational efficiency,” said Patrick Fenton, Head of Cloud Transformation at KPMG in the UK.
“We’ve done much of the pre-work, paving the way for a faster, smoother implementation. The benefits include greater standardization, more agile back office operations, improved risk management processes and superior business insights, which can help inform better decision making,” he added.
