The FINANCIAL — Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has once again passed audit procedure of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for compliance with the IOSA standard (IATA Operational Safety Audit).
This audit has once again proved AZAL as a reliable air carrier that meets the strictest international safety requirements in civil aviation.
IOSA (IATA “Operational Safety Audit” program) – a few hundred mandatory standards and recommended procedures, structured into several sections. The airline should confirm compliance with them during the audit. Safety analysis includes not only assessment of production activities of the airline, but also its organizational structure. There is a system to minimize risks from the influence of the human factor and a feedback system that enables timely ensuring the corrective actions. Operations by each employee of the airline is registered down to the smallest details, which suggests flight safety techniques, according to Azerbaijan Airlines.
“Safety issue has always been among the top priorities in our airline. Azerbaijan Airlines has successfully passed the IOSA audit for the fifth time, which once again confirms that our standards meet international requirements”, Vice-president of CJSC AZAL Eldar Hajiyev said.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan Airlines is a member of IATA since 1993.
In June 2015 Skytrax consultancy, which is considered as the most influential ranking company in the world in air transportation sphere, awarded AZAL the prestigious rating – The World’s 4-STAR Airline.
