The FINANCIAL — On 9 November 2015, Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili held a meeting with President of the Rostropovich-Vishnevskaya Foundation (RVF) Elena Rostropovich and members of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, according to MFA of Georgia.
The sides discussed health projects both ongoing and already implemented, as well as programmes planned for the future, including the possibility of introducing throughout Georgia a pilot program to screen newborns for critical heart defects. The Georgian Foreign Minister emphasised the Rostropovich-Vishnevskaya Foundation’s important contribution towards the establishment of an effective healthcare system in Georgia. On their part, representatives of the Foundation underlined the traditionally successful co-operation with the Government of Georgia, including the active engagement of the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia and the U.S. Embassy to Georgia.
