The FINANCIAL — Last night MasterCard held a Priceless Gig with BRIT Award-winning singer-songwriter Jessie J at London music venue Under The Bridge.
By registering at pricelesslondon.co.uk 400 people won the chance to see one of Jessie J’s most intimate performances for free.
At the Priceless Gig, Jessie J performed live on stage with Samantha Neal, the lucky winner of MasterCard’s Priceless Duets competition, which invited fans to submit an audition video to win the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform with their music idol. As MasterCard reported, Samantha, 23, from Bushey in Hertfordshire, impressed judges with her winning audition earlier this year.
Paul Trueman, Head of Marketing at MasterCard UK & Ireland, comments: “Through our Priceless London programme, we’ve built strong relationships across the music industry, enabling us to give fans the opportunity to get closer to the artists they love. During The BRIT Awards 2012, we offered one lucky winner the chance to sing a Priceless Duet with Jessie J and tonight we saw that happen live in front of 400 MasterCard cardholders at a very special Priceless Gig. We’re now engaging with cardholders across many of their passion areas – from music to theatre, sport to culture – and offering them access to exclusive experiences by registering at pricelesslondon.co.uk.”
Speaking about her Priceless opportunity to sing with Jessie J, Samantha Neal said: “I feel unbelievably lucky to have had the chance not only to meet Jessie J but also to perform with her in front of 400 people. It was an absolutely incredible experience, made even better by how inspirational Jessie is – I’m so grateful to her and MasterCard for this experience.”
Jessie’s own brand of “ghetto-pop fabulosity” was honed at London’s legendary BRIT School. As one of the UK’s most talked about female artists, her debut album ‘Who You Are’, released in February 2011, charted at number two in the UK Album Chart, while her latest single ‘Domino’ charted at number one in the UK in January 2012.
