The FINANCIAL — Britain's High Court on Monday gave Julian Assange, founder of the whistle-blowing website Wikileaks, permission to appeal against his extradition from the UK to Sweden, told gulfnews.
Swedish authorities want to question the 40-year-old Australian over accusations of rape and sexual assault made by two female former WikiLeaks volunteers during a visit there in August 2010.
Assange, who has been living in Britain since his arrest here in December last year, denies wrongdoing.
He can now take his year-long legal fight to Britain's Supreme Court, the highest court in the land. Read more stories on WikiLeaks.
