The FINANCIAL — The European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) Ukraine has donated a mobile police station to police in the country’s Khmelnytskyi region. The new police van is equipped with all the tools needed to work autonomously in remote areas and is the first such mobile station to be used by police in the country, said the EUAM in a press release.
Designed with a space to receive local citizens, the van has a special heating system to enable work under all weather conditions, and is powered directly from the electricity grid. It is also equipped with sirens, loudspeakers and high-visibility lighting.
The mobile police station will deliver services to residents of seven villages in Khmelnytskyi region that have a population of over 6,000 people. The mobile station will have its “base” in the village of Kolybaivka, which previously had no police services or facilities.
In addition, the EUAM has supported the launch of a sub-police station in Kolybaivka, where three district police officers and a national police response team will deliver services from now on. The EUAM has equipped the premises of Kolybaivka police station with IT infrastructure, furniture, police branding and air conditioning.
