The FINANCIAL — A business conference on ‘Georgia’s new opportunities in free trade with the EU’, organised in Brussels this week by the EU-Georgia Business Council, and funded by the EU, discussed the major challenges of provisions of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement and Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA).
The conference provided a useful platform for European companies and potential investors to gain insight on the business and investment climate in Georgia, at a time when the country is harmonizing its legislation affecting business and services, according to EU Neighbourhood Info Centre.
Sixty-five large, medium and small sized Georgian and EU enterprises in agribusiness, construction, financial services, textile, tourism and other sectors took part.
