The FINANCIAL — David Hasselhoff's ex-wife the 46-year-old Pamela Bach has been arrested in Los Angeles around 8 p.m. Saturday, she was charged with drunk driving.
The California Highway Patrol said Sunday that Pamela Bach was pulled over Saturday night just south of U.S. 101 on Laurel Canyon Boulevard, AP informs. The CHP alleges Bach showed blood alcohol levels of .14 and .13 on a breathalyzer test. California's legal limit is .08. She is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 24.
According to a Los Angeles Police Department jail spokesman, she was taken into custody at the Van Nuys jail and later released on her own recognizance, People reports.
"There was no bail. She is fine. She was picked up and driven home by a friend," Bach's publicist tells people. "She will deal with this."
Bach appeared in 14 episodes of "Baywatch" as cafe owner Kaye Morgan, according to the website IMDB.com, Los Angeles Times reports. “America’s Got Talent” judge and actor Hasselhoff, who also starred in "Night Rider," filed to end the couple's 16-year marriage in 2006. Bach was booked at the Van Nuys station of the Los Angeles Police Department and released, the spokesman said.
In related news, Hasselhoff was hospitalized for two days, People has confirmed, though his attorney Mel Goldsman would not disclose the nature of his illness.
"David is home now and he's fine," says Goldsman, according to the same source.Hasselhoff's troubles began at home on Friday. Though authorities did not identify the name of the patient or the owner of the home, a fire department spokesman did confirm that paramedics responded to a call for medical aid at 11:51 a.m. at a home in Encino, and the patient was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. People learned that the address of the home matches the one owned by Hasselhoff.
Hasselhoff, who has admitted to years of struggles with the bottle, was most recently hospitalized in September, UK.Eonline reports. His camp insisted it was for a bad reaction to prescription medication, however, and not due to alcohol poisoning.
