The FINANCIAL — On the sidelines of the 22nd General Assembly of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the Georgian Vice Premier, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze met with the Head of the Indian delegation to the General Assembly Suman Billa.
The sides spoke about the successful relations between the two countries, with special focus on co-operation in the area of tourism. Special note was taken of the increasing number of Indian visitors to Georgia. The sides also highlighted successful co-operation in education and welcomed the fact that the number of the Indian medical students in Georgia keeps rising every year.
Mikheil Janelidze and Suman Billa expressed their readiness to further encourage torusim, people-to-people contacts and cultural relations, according to MFA of Georgia.
The meeting with the Head of the Indian delegation to the General Assembly Suman Billa was attended by the newly-elected UNWTO Secretary General Zurab Pololikashvili, Head of the Georgian National Tourism Administration Giorgi Chogovadze and Georgia’s Ambassador to China Davit Aptsiauri.
