The FINANCIAL — French consumer confidence remained the same in June, according to data on June 26 from statistics agency Insee.
Consumer confidence in the eurozone’s second largest economy was stable at 94 in June compared with 94 in May, after having progressed eight points between October 2014 and April 2015, Insee said, according to Nasdaq.
The reading is still below the long-term average for the consumer confidence indicator of 100.
Insee said it slightly revised upward its consumer confidence indicator for May to 94 from the previously published figure of 93.
Households’ confidence in their ability to make savings both now and in the future were unchanged, Insee said, while more consumers estimated that it’s a good time to make important purchases.
Inflation expectations, however, rose in June, Insee added.
